Bridgett Heine was named Principal of Comprehensive High School #3 at the Board of Trustees February meeting, Monday, Feb. 22. Heine, currently the principal at Woodridge Forest Middle School, will assume her new role this summer in preparation for the school’s opening for the 2022-2023 school year. Ms. Heine has spent her entire career in education in New Caney ISD, beginning as a teacher in 1999. She has been the principal at Woodridge Forest Middle School since 2016. Prior to that, she served as the associate principal at New Caney High School.
“During my time with New Caney ISD, I have had the opportunity to work with excellent leaders, teachers and staff,” Heine said. “It is a privilege to continue to serve my community as the principal of the next high school.”
Ms. Heine will have the distinction of having three children attend all three of New Caney ISD’s comprehensive high schools. Her oldest daughter graduated from New Caney High School in 2017 while her middle daughter will graduate from Porter High School in 2022. Her youngest daughter will attend the new high school.
“I know first-hand that every school is committed to providing excellent educational and career focused opportunities to students,” Heine said.
The new high school, currently under construction, is located on Sorters-McClellan Road and will open with a 9th grade class in 2022.
