Wreath contest raises money for the NCISD Education Foundation

The NCISD Education Foundation Annual Wreath Contest raised nearly $1,000 for the organization which awards grants to teachers for innovative teaching ideas.

This event is sponsored by the Curriculum Department. Different departments and campuses from across the district made and donated a wreath for a silent auction that was held during the District Holiday Open House in December.

"Having so many district departments show their support for the NCISD Education Foundation through the annual Wreath Program is truly a reflection of a giving season,” said Michele Dykstra, Executive Director of the NCISD Education Foundation. “We are grateful for the creative minds and hands that make such thoughtful, colorful, and beautiful wreaths and to those who purchase them.”

This year’s event raised $923 for teacher grants. Here are the winners:

Most Creative: Technology

Most Colorful: Crippen Elementary

Most Beautiful: New Caney MS

Best Kid Created: Crippen Elementary

NCISD Represented: Technology

Best Overall: Crippen Elementary

Thank you to all the participants for your support of the NCISD Education Foundation and congratulations to the winners.
