NCISD Students Participate in EMC Fair

New Caney FFA and Jr. FFA students competed and won in several categories in the Non Livestock Competition at the EMC fair in September. 

In the Non Livestock Competition, Autumn Harris won Grand Champion Cookie. KateLynn Nolan won Reserve Horticulture for floral arrangement. Shelbi Loving won Reserve Champion Cake. Kayleigh Mixon, Woodroe Know, and Shooter McCabe are alternates and placed in the top 4 in their categories. Emily Galan won Grand Champion for Broilers Chickens. The PHS Ag Mechanics Team won Reserve Champion in the BBQ Pit Build-Off, and Savannah Rhoden won EMC Fair Queen.

In the Livestrock Competition, Autumn Harris, of the New Caney Jr. FFA, won Reserve Champion in Market Rabbits. Cash Lortz of the Porter FFA won Reserve Champion Market Swine. Skylar Scott of the New Caney Jr. FFA won Reserve Champion Market Lamb and Reserve Champion Market Goat. Emalee Obenhaus of the New Caney FFA won Grand Champion Market Goat.
