Montgomery County Office of Emergency Management Recognizes Area Teachers
Three New Caney ISD teachers were recognized by the Montgomery County Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Management (MCOHSEM) for going above and beyond in their efforts to teach and serve students during the pandemic. MCOHSEM asked parents to nominate teachers from area districts and then selected several teachers to represent each district in Montgomery County.
Receiving gift bags from MCOHSEM were Hannah Repka of Dogwood Elementary School, Randa Faust of Tavola Elementary School, and Cady Levy of Oakley Elementary School.
“I'm honored to get to organize this for our teachers,” said Meghan Ballard Arthur of MCOHSEM. “If anyone understands the hard work all of our districts are doing, it is our office. It's been 7 months since our first case in Montgomery County, and constant adapting has had to happen.”
The following business and organizations contributed to a gift bag for selected teachers in Montgomery County:
- Chick-fil-a
- Incredible Pizza
- The Woodlands Township/ Visit the Woodlands
