NCHS students attend Expo

Students from the NCHS Wildlife and Agriculture classes attended the Houston Safari Club Educational Expo and learned about wildlife conservation and management, habitat protection, Texas Wildlife and the laws governing it, wildlife biology, and taxidermy, etc. The students were able to attend clinics with experts in the field including Texas Game Wardens, Wildlife Biologist, and philanthropist. Students were also able to participate in painting a wildlife portrait that they each signed that would be auctioned off to add money to the scholarship fund. This amazing organization has allowed many of our students the opportunity to participate in guided fishing and hunting trips that they may have never experienced before. Several students have had the opportunity to advocate for these programs by speaking on hunting shows or in video productions. The students had an amazing experience!
