Culinary Prostart Restaurant Management Team Heading to Nationals
On Saturday, March 25th, Porter High School Culinary competed in the Texas Restaurant Association's State Prostart Restaurant Management Competition. We are proud to announce that we placed 1st at State and are now heading to Nationals in South Carolina to represent Texas.
The Management Teams develop a concept for a new restaurant and present it to judges from industry and post-secondary education. Students are evaluated on their concept, marketing strategies, menu, recipes and food costs, operations and critical thinking skills.
Team members are Captain Colleene Magtuloy, Jasmine Cruse, and Amber Mills.
