NCHS Family, Career and Community Leaders of America competes in state competition
April 10, 2017| Interpersonal and Collaborative Skills | The New Caney High School chapter of the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America competed in the state competition in Dallas last week.
The NCHS FCCLA chapter brought 12 students to the event. The NCHS Culinary Arts Team competed against 30 other teams from across the state. The team of Kayla Gebauer, Jake Whisenant and Andrew McClellan placed 5th in the state. The team of Kaila Kindle, Zane Wyatt and Nadia Charlot placed 6th in the state.
Lara Lawrenz placed 5th in Career Investigations.
“We are so proud of all of our competitors who participated in the state competition,” said Laura Johnston, NCHS Culinary Arts Instructor and FCCLA Club Advisor. “They worked extremely hard this year.”
The students were accompanied by sponsors Stefanie Corso and Cherie Busch.
