Mrs. Donnelle Vallejo
Hello! My name is Donnelle Vallejo and I am thrilled to be teaching the English side of Dual Language in Kindergarten here at Brookwood Forest Elementary. I attended New Caney schools starting in 1st grade at New Caney Elementary until I graduated from New Caney High School. I am thrilled to be back in the district now as a teacher.
I graduated from Sam Houston State University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies and went on to teach in both the Houston and Dallas areas. I have taught many different grade levels, but most of my years have been spent teaching Kindergarten or PreK, and early childhood is most definitely where my heart is. I returned to school in 2016 and have since earned my Masters degree in Early Childhood Education from Stephen F. Austin State University.
At home, I am married to a fellow New Caney High School graduate and we have three children; 20-year-old boy/girl twins and an 18-year-old daughter, all of whom are in college. My older daughter is a paraprofessional here at Brookwood Forest Elementary while attending Sam Houston full-time. She will also be getting married this school year to a fellow NCISD teacher and coach. My other two children live together in Dallas and work as gymnastics coaches while attending college full-time.
I am thrilled to be teaching Kindergarten this year and look forward to getting to know all my new kids!
