• Accomodation requests for College Board (PSAT, SAT, AP)  and ACT are initiated by parents. Counselors can complete a request for accommodations based on what is in place from an ARD or 504 plan, based on the student's identified disability, with a parent signed consent form to release information to the testing company. Not all accommodations that are offered on state testing are available for College Board or ACT tests. The process takes about 7 weeks for approval, and once the student is approved for one test with the company, he or she can have that accommodation on subsequent tests for that company. For example, if accommodations are approved for PSAT, the student does not have to be reapproved for SAT or AP testing.
