“I am thrilled to lead Bens Branch Elementary as the next principal,” Ms. Towslee said. “As a parent of a current first grader and incoming kindergartener, Bens Branch holds a deeply personal significance for me.”
Ms. Towslee has 16 years of educational experience, beginning in 2010 as a teacher in Nacogdoches ISD, then moving to College Station ISD. In 2017, Ms. Towslee joined New Caney ISD as a teacher at Woodridge Forest Middle School before moving on to serve as a media specialist, student success coach, and instructional coach. For the last three years, she has served as an assistant principal at Bens Branch Elementary. She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas A&M University and her Master of Education from Stephen F. Austin University.
In her new role, Ms. Towslee is eager to foster a welcoming environment to create a strong sense of community.
“I want BBE to be a place where all people feel welcome; a place where we smile, have fun, and showcase our learning,” Ms. Towslee said. “I am committed to serving our students and staff and continuing to build strong, meaningful relationships with our families and community. BBE is the best place to be!”
