The Board of Trustees approved the hiring of Michelle Kale to be the new principal of Dogwood Elementary. Kale will take over the role for the 2025-2026 school year after serving as an assistant principal at Dogwood since 2023.
“I am truly honored and excited to step into the role of Principal at Dogwood Elementary,” Ms. Kale said. “This school holds a special place in my heart, and I look forward to continuing our strong tradition of academic excellence, inclusivity, and community connection.”
Ms. Kale has 10 years of education experience. Before her career in education, Ms. Kale served in the US Navy as a military police officer, and worked as a sheriff’s deputy in Liberty County. Since moving to education, Ms. Kale has served as paraprofessional in Liberty ISD, and a teacher, media specialist, and assistant principal in New Caney ISD.
Ms. Kale earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Finance from Lamar University and a Master of Education in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from Sam Houston State University.
When asked what she is most excited about in this new role, Ms. Kale said, “I am especially eager to build deeper relationships with our students, families, and staff, and to work collaboratively to create a safe, joyful, and inspiring learning environment for every child. Together, I know we can do great things.”
