District Communication Programs

To assist parents in recognizing trusted district communication, below is a list of programs that New Caney ISD uses to communicate with parents. Please be aware, not all campuses use every program. 

Amplify

Amplify is used in middle school (6th-8th grade) ELA classrooms to combine engaging stories, digital resources, and hands-on activities for students. 

Canvas (Instructure) 

Canvas is a learning management system (LMS) that helps students access digital classroom content, submit assignments, and receive feedback from their teachers.

District Email: @newcaneyisd.org

All NCISD staff have a newcaneyisd.org email address, which can be used to contact parents and students. 

Fronline Education

Frontline Education is a secure online system our district uses to share and obtain signatures for Special Education and Section 504.

Frontline Portal 

Frontline Portal is a secure online system our district uses to docushare Special Education, Section 504, and MTSS documents with families.

IXL 

IXL offers personalized instruction across multiple subjects for Pre-K to 12th grade to provide individualized accelerated learning opportunities for all students. 

K12 Insights Let's Talk 

Let's Talk is a communication tool that allows members of the public to submit questions or concerns to NCISD through the district website. 

Laserfiche

Laserfiche is an online forms software used to collect parent/guardian input for various student and school requirements.

Minga

Minga is used at Oakley Elementary, all middle schools, and all high schools except IECHS to notify parents when their child is tardy or if their child is assigned discipline due to tardies. Minga is also used to give students positive acknowledgement for following campus expectations. 

MHS (Multi-Health Systems) 

MHS (Multi-Health Systems) is a secure online system the Department of Special Education uses to share parent/guardian rating scales to gather information to contribute to your child’s special education evaluation or reevaluation.

NWEA Map 

NWEA MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) is an adaptive test that personalizes the tests to fit each student's level. 

OneToOne Plus

OneToOne Plus serves as the District's technology asset management system. All invoices related to lost or damaged equipment will be emailed from OneToOne Plus.

Parent Square

ParentSquare is a communication platform that helps parents stay informed and engaged with their child’s school by providing updates, announcements, and direct messaging in one convenient place.

PARiConnect

PARiConnect is a secure online system that the Department of Special Education uses to share parent/guardian rating scales to gather information to contribute to your child’s special education evaluation or reevaluation.

PikMyKid

PikMyKid allows parents to notify the school that they have arrived to pick up their student, which allows staff time to prepare the student for dismissal. 

Primeroedge

Primeroedge notifies parents if they qualify for free or reduced meals and sends reminders to parents when students have a negative lunch balance. 

Q-Global 

Q-global  is a secure online system the Department of Special Education uses to share parent/guardian rating scales and developmental history form to gather information to contribute to your child’s special education evaluation or reevaluation.

SchoolCafe

SchoolCafe allows parents to manage their student's school meal accounts by making payments, viewing purchase history, and receiving balance alerts. 

Skyward

Skyward is the district's student information system for sending information to parents about grades, attendance, and district information. 

SmartTag

The SMART tag system uses advanced technology to allow parents to easily track their child's bus ride to and from school.

Smore Newsletters

Smore is a digital tool that helps teachers and schools create digital newsletters to share important updates with families.

Stemscopes Math

STEMscopes Math is a hands-on, interactive math program that combines online lessons, print materials, and activities that connect math to real life situations.
