Mrs. Donnelle Vallejo
I was fortunate to grow up in, and graduate from, New Caney schools, and am thrilled to be back in the district now as a teacher. I attended Aikin Elementary beginning when it opened and I was in the 3rd grade. After graduating from New Caney High School in 1990, I attended Kingwood College and eventually transferred to Sam Houston State University, where I graduated in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies. I have since taught in both the Houston and Dallas areas and have taught many different grade levels, but most of the years have been spent teaching Kindergarten or PreK and early childhood is most definitely where my heart is.
I have been teaching in New Caney since 2013, shortly after my family moved back to the area from Dallas. My husband graduated from New Caney High School with me and we have two girls. Our older daughter graduated from New Caney High School in 2017 and is now getting her Special Education teaching degree and working as a paraprofessional at Brookwood Forest Elementary, and our younger daughter is a Senior at New Caney High School this year and is looking forward to going to Sam Houston State after she graduates.
