MEET YOUR TEACHER!
Hello! My name is Ms. Encinas and I am so excited to be a part of the First Grade Team this year! More importantly, I am THRILLED to be your teacher! It’s going to be an amazing school year! I would like to know ALL about you, but first I’m going to tell you a few things about me.
I was born and raised in Houston, Texas and I am the 2nd to youngest out of five! I have a younger brother, two older brothers and an older sister. Thanks to my sister, I am an auntie of two. You’ll hear all about them throughout the year! After graduating from High School at the age of 16, I attended Houston Community College for two years and attended the University of Houston soon after. I majored in Early Childhood Education and couldn’t wait to graduate and start teaching.
I taught first grade bilingual for five years at Gray Elementary in the Aldine Independent School District. After teaching first grade, I came to New Caney ISD where I taught third grade Dual Language for several years and second grade for one year. This year I will be teaching first grade once again because it’s my all-time favorite!! I am sure you will LOVE it as well!
