My name is Matt Nelson and this is my first year teaching at the high school level. As well as teaching at NCHS, I am also an instructor at Lone Star College where I have been teaching the last 8 years. I teach Federal and Texas Government. I am a graduate of the University of Texas, San Antonio with a degree in Political Science, and St. Mary's University with a degree in International Relations.
I have been married 25 years and spent most of my previous career working for Fortune 100 companies in various capacities from sales & marketing to market analysis, all the while moving for each new adventure. I am an avid traveler and have spent considerable time in Europe as a young man. My favorite places are in Scotland and Italy. Australia/New Zealand and Japan are next on my list.
