Mrs. Alyssa Ratliff

Hello everyone! My name is Alyssa Morales, and I will be teaching 7th grade Mathematics here at Woodridge Forrest Middle School. I am very excited to begin the year with all of you!
For the past 3 years, I taught math in Aldine ISD, specifically ESL Math.

Although I love being a teacher, I am also interested in many different activities. Outside of school, I am a full time mom to a very active 3 year old, Jacqueline. She keeps me busy with Tee Ball, Gymnastics, and soccer throughout the year. Our family also includes a four legged fur baby, he is a rottweiller/chow mix named Houston. He is a giant teddy bear! Very lovable and protective when we need him to be!

Prior to becoming a teacher, I worked in Corrections for about 4 years in Lovelady, Tx.  At the same time, I attended Sam Houston State University from 2010-2013. I earned my B.A. in Criminal Justice in August of 2013. After graduation, I worked in Adult probation in San Antonio, Tx. During this time I met my now husband, who was also following a career path in criminal justice as an officer, and started our family. Shortly after starting a family, we both decided to completely shift career paths. That was the best decision I made for myself, my family, and my students, past and present, and future.

My goal for everyone of my students is for them to leave me more confident in their studies than the day they walked in my room! I will do my best to ensure your success, all while making math fun! I know that that we will have an amazing year. If you need anything, please, feel free to contact me!
