Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Renee Collins

Welcome to 6th Grade!  Thank you for taking the time to view my bio.  This will be my 18th year teaching middle school math in New Caney ISD.  I love my job, and feel blessed to be a part of our Woodridge Forest family and the New Caney/Porter Community.

To keep current with innovations in education, this summer I attended online professional development. I believe that life-long learning is the key to building success in our high-tech culture, and will share what I learned with my students.

I am a native Houstonian, a University of Houston Alumni, and hold a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration, Organizational Behavior and Management.  Certified by the State of Texas in 4th-8th grade math, I am recognized as a highly qualified math teacher.  I am committed to going above and beyond, and to being an excellent teacher for your child.  My goal is to not only prepare them for success in high school math, but to also provide them the opportunity to build the vision of a solid bridge to their personal goals.

In addition, I love health and fitness, and have almost 40 years experience sharing my passion with others through managing/teaching  adult and child wellness programs.  I have held a certification in exercise physiology by the American College of Sports Medicine since 1994, and continue to instruct group exercise classes to support our community.

Family values are dear to my heart.  My husband John and I have been married 34 years.  We have two wonderful adult children, Christian & Brittany, and a sweet grandson, Noah, who is in 3rd grade.

This is going to be a stellar year for your child, and the Woodridge Forest Middle School FALCONS!
