Mrs. Amanda Flowers
My name is Amanda Flowers, and I am the school counselor at Sorters Mill Elementary. I am thankful be a part of the Tiger family. I have been in elementary education for the past 11 years. I attended Texas A&M University where I received my bachelor's degree, and I earned my graduate degree from The University of St. Thomas. I enjoy spending time with my family, dancing, and swimming.
The Sorters Mill counseling program goal is to provide a comprehensive and developmental program to all students. The school counselor is a professional advocate who works with the staff, parents, and community to address the academic, social, and emotional development of all students. The program seeks to support each student in maximizing his/her potential in order to become responsible citizens and lifelong learners.
I see students during classroom guidance lessons, small group, and individual sessions. Students can arrange a meeting with me by asking their teacher. Teachers can use a Google Form for referrals, and parents may refer a student to the school counselor by filling out the following Google Form: https://forms.gle/nKTCNFSZEoHBczgBA. Additionally, please email me at email@example.com or call me by phone at (281)577-8780.
