After graduating from Ole Miss in 1974, I set out on a 30 year career in the oil & gas industry. My work carried me to various places in the U.S (including Alaska). After careful evaluation I decided I needed a change. With encouragement from my wife, I began the process of becoming a teacher. I have never looked back, enjoying every minute. This profession is loaded with success stories and I am grateful for having been a part of some of them. The 2019/20 school year will be my 15th.

My wife Diane and I have been married for 46 years and have raised 2 children, Stephen and Jada. They have blessed us with 5 grandchildren. We also have a 17 year old beagle, Copper.
