Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Brandi Espitia

My name is Brandi Espitia. I graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration, majoring in Accounting. After working in the business world for almost five years I felt like something was missing. I then decided to go to Lone Star College and receive my alternative certification for teaching. I joined NCISD in August of 2007 and began teaching 3rd grade at Kings Manor Elementary. For the last 10 years I was fortunate to call Kings Manor home, and at the middle of last year an opportunity opened up which lead me to Porter High School. I am very excited to be teaching here this year. I am very passionate about the Ready, Set, Teach program and can’t wait to see what this year brings. I will also be teaching Child Development as well as Human Growth and Development.

I absolutely LOVE my job and finally found that missing piece. I have two children, Raven and Adrien. Raven is a Senior this year at Porter High School, and Adrien is at Woodridge Middle School in 8th grade.

In 2013 I was Teacher of the Year for KME and Elementary Teacher of the Year for the District. Talk about an honor that I will never forget. I am truly blessed, and I am so thankful to have a job that I can find purpose through my children.
