What a great place to learn! I am an instructional leader at PHS and my passion is helping students and teachers reach success. I have been with New Caney ISD for 20 years.  My background includes working with special programs with an emphasis in curriculum and instruction. My favorite thing about PHS is the multitude of educational opportunities available to our students.  We strive daily to ensure our campus culture conveys to students that learning is a life long journey!

I am honored to have the opportunity to serve the students, staff, and parents of Porter High School! I am starting my 9th year in Education and 3rd year as an Assistant Principal. I began my teaching career in Humble ISD as an Agriculture Science Teacher. I moved to New Caney ISD and taught middle school Agriculture Science for 4 years before transitioning into Administration. I attended Sam Houston State University (Eat ‘em up Kats!) to obtain my bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Agriculture and I received my master’s degree in Educational Technology Leadership from Lamar University.

Being a former Agriculture Science Teacher, I understand the importance of students being involved in their high school experience. I encourage all of our students to find an organization or program that suits their interests and get involved in order to have the best high school experience possible. There is something for everyone at PHS!

Hello Spartans!  I am over the House of Health Sciences and Education.  This will be my second year at Porter High and the start of my twelfth year in education.  As a classroom teacher I instructed Science, Math, and History in addition to coaching basketball, cross country, track and tennis.  I completed my administration certification at Stephen F. Austin, MBA at the University of Phoenix and Bachelors at Norfolk State University.  My goal this year is to be supportive of the online learning process and assist all stakeholders in any capacity needed for the "SUCCESS" of the 2020-2021 school year.

I cannot stress how important it is to stay connected and communicate with your teachers. I am here to H.E.L.P (Hear - Educate - Love - Prepare) you become your “BEST” you!
