Howdy Valley Ranch Wrangler families!

I am thrilled to be the Principal at Valley Ranch Elementary! VRE is a campus where students and faculty love learning. VRE is known as "The Ranch", here at the ranch we believe that students should feel loved, respected and safe. We hold high expectations for all of our students and faculty as we are passionate about putting students first. VRE takes pride in partnering with our parents and community to celebrate the growth of our student's character and their academic successes.

My Core Beliefs are Communication, Collaboration, Connections, Continuous Learning, and Culture. I believe these 5 C's are the core to success. I strive every day to build these within myself and to share them with others. It takes all of us working together to meet our students where they are and take them to the next level of learning. Working together we can do what is needed for the students!

I am starting my 24th year in Education. I have previously served as a District Administrator, Principal, Assistant Principal, and Teacher.  I hold a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Houston Clear Lake and a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from Stephen F. Austin State University. My husband and I have two high school boys and enjoy our family time traveling and watching baseball.

Please contact me if you have any questions. I look forward to meeting and working with each of you!

Welcome to Valley Ranch Elementary! My name is Chandra Torres.

The 2021-2022 school year will be my first year to support the students, families and staff of Valley Ranch Elementary as an Assistant Principal. This year will also mark my 22nd year in education.

Prior to coming to Valley Ranch, I had the pleasure of serving as an Assistant Principal at Oakley Elementary for three years and Sorters Mill Elementary for one year. Before joining New Caney ISD, I supported campuses for over seven years in a nearby district as a facilitator of the Bilingual program and then the Director of Bilingual/ESL and Foreign Languages Programs. Prior to serving in the central office, my first ten years of experience in education provided me with the opportunity to teach in general education classrooms as well as bilingual and ESL classrooms across elementary grade levels.

I believe that as educators, it is our moral obligation to provide students with many opportunities for them to discover their potential and DREAM BIG! At Valley Ranch Elementary, we are supporting wranglers in their lassoing of learning!

I am thrilled to be a part of the Valley Ranch family and look forward to a fantastic 2021-2022 school year!

Howdy Valley Ranch Elementary Families!

I am ecstatic to be an Assistant Principal at Valley Ranch Elementary! The 2021-2022 school year will be my first year at VRE, and I am looking forward to supporting students, families, and staff.

I have had the great pleasure of serving NCISD as a teacher and team leader for the past ten years at Oakley Elementary. I hold a Master of Education in School Leadership from Sam Houston State University and a Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies with a minor in Early Childhood Education from Ashford University.

I have the mindset that I can help others grow and find their strengths through collaboration, communication, and inspiration. A desire to be a life-long learner is what I want every Wrangler to receive before they leave Valley Ranch Elementary.
