Sherri Farr

While growing up, two of my favorite activities were playing school with my brother and five sisters and dreaming about snow. Naturally, with that much competition in my family, I rarely got to be the teacher, and living in deep south Texas, I didn't have a clue about snow. However, long before I'd ever seen snow or started my fourth-grade year in elementary school, I knew I wanted to be a teacher when I grew up! Dreams do come true... I have been at New Caney Elementary for the past 17 years and have had the opportunity to play in the snow!
After working in the upper grades, I now have the opportunity to work with our younger population. I am looking forward to a great year working with our first-grade students.

My formal education includes:
A graduate of Lamar University Master of Education w/Counseling Certification & School Counseling
A graduate of Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree, Interdisciplinary Studies with Minor in English, Language Arts, and Reading
