My name is Jurgita Jordan and this will be my third year teaching at New Caney Elementary.
Working with children has always been my passion. While being a teenager myself, I started answering phone calls at a Children's helpline and volunteering in after-school programs for disadvantaged kids. I received my Master's Degree in clinical psychology from Vilnius University, Lithuania - one of the oldest universities in Northern and Eastern Europe (founded in 1579). Subsequently, I have years of experience in social services, mental health, and education.
My developmental psychology professor once said that all children love to learn and want to go to school. It is us, adults, who make them feel otherwise. I refuse to be one of those adults!
Let's have a fabulous 2018-2019 school year together! Teamwork truly makes the dream work. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
Conference time 2.45-3.30pm, Room 17B
