Student Resources

Each campus maintains an online catalog of library resources. Guests can freely search the catalog without logging in. Students can access the library catalog through Classlink to view library holdings, check what they have on loan, and the history of their checkouts.

Click the campus level to find and search within a specific campus library catalog.

Students can access free eBooks and Audiobooks from a computer or mobile device using Sora. Sora is the student reading app from OverDrive. Sora can be accessed through Classlink or by going to soraapp.com or downloading the app to your mobile device.

Students can check out up to 3 books for 3 weeks and put up to 3 books on hold. Additional eBooks (primarily nonfiction) can be accessed via ClassLink.  

How to Use Sora

1. Go to soraap.com or download the app from Google Play or Apple App Store
2. Click "Find my school" 
3. Select "This is my school" under New Caney ISD
4. Login with Google and use school login
5. Select the EXPLORE tab to search for your next great read
6. Happy Reading!

Students have access to high-quality digital information resources for research and inquiry. All resources can be found in ClassLink in the Research folder. Resources are listed below. Availability of resources is dependent on the campus level of the student.
