Career & Technical Education

The Career and Technical Education (CTE) department at New Caney ISD provides access to career/skill-based instruction and certifications to all students. The CTE Department also prepares students for success in their chosen careers by providing them with relevant, hands-on learning experiences and opportunities to explore various career pathways.

CTE Programs & Work-Based Learning

The district offers career and technical education programs and the opportunity for work-based learning programs in the following areas:

  • Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources
  • Architecture and Construction
  • Arts, Audio/Video Technology, and Communications
  • Business, Marketing, and Finance
  • Education and Training
  • Engineering
  • Health Science
  • Hospitality and Tourism
  • Human Services
  • Information Technology
  • Law and Public Service
  • Manufacturing
  • Transportation, Distribution, and Logistics

Admission to these programs is based on student grade level, prerequisite requirements, and class space availability.
