2025 Teacher/Professional Job Fair

This fair will be especially beneficial for those seeking a position as a teacher, teacher leader, school counselor, diagnostician, special education specialists, and all other professional staff. 

Yes.  Be sure to include, on your resume, the Alternative Certification Program in which you are enrolled.   Attaching your acceptance letter to the program and/or your Statement of Eligibility (SOE) is also helpful. This will allow principals to have a clear picture of where you are in the program.

Campus administration along with other campus leadership will be represented at the Teacher/Professional Career Fair.  Additionally, various district departments will be present to answer any questions applicants may have regarding NCISD.  These departments may include Special Education, Special Programs, Multilingual, CTE, Athletics, and Human Resources.  We encourage you to visit both campus and department booths during the fair!

Possibly.  Every principal handles this a bit differently.  As you visit the booths at the fair, you will be greeted by a member of the campus or department team.  Some principals choose to do screening interviews at the fair and some principals prefer to set up an interview for a later date on the campus.  Either way, attendance at the fair is your first step in making connections with the leadership teams of NCISD! 

Having a completed application on file will both increase and expedite your opportunities of being considered for a position. Principals and department leaders must be able to check references and other pertinent information when recommending someone for hire.  Having this information complete prior to the fair will help you stay one step ahead!

You should apply for both.  The “teacher pools” are a great way for principals to get a sneak peek at those interested in a particular level or area before they may have a specific position posted.  Additionally, your application and resume are then viewable by all principals and not just a principal who is assigned to a specific vacancy. Once you attach your application to a pool, you should also apply for the specific positions that interest you.  This narrows a principal’s search and allows them to see what you are most interested in teaching.  As the fair is being held fairly early this year, you should also check back weekly for new opportunities.

• Apply to NCISD before the fair.
• Prepare/Update and print your resume. Be sure and print several copies so that you can distribute them to various campuses and departments. Visit the NCISD Career Fair webpage on a regular basis before the fair for any updates. 
• Dress Professionally
• Review the map, parking, and driving directions before the fair.
• Check-in is generally quick and efficient.  Keep in mind that staff will welcome candidates in to speak with recruiters promptly at 9:00.

There are a few things that candidates can do after the Career Fair to stay on top of available positions:

• Be sure that you have completed the application (including two recent supervisory references) AND/OR that you provide updates to your existing application and resume.  
• If there are particular positions you are specifically interested in learning more about, contact the campus by email and they will be happy to answer any questions you may have.  
• Check our Job Board daily to find new postings.  This is a very busy season to hire great talent and you want to see our most recent updates!
