Jan. 24, 2019- U.S. Army Meet and Greet
Porter High School Criminal Justice Department hosted U.S. Army officers and recruiters from the Humble Recruiting Center. PHS students interested in military service had the opportunity to further their knowledge of the military and gain useful advice for their future careers. Lieutenant Colonel Robins, Battalion Commander of the Houston Area Recruiting Battalion, spoke to students about his 22 years of experience in the Army and the values that aided him in his success.
After a meet and greet with PHS students and administration, the recruiting team toured the high school and watched skills demonstrations performed by the Criminal Justice students. The demonstrations were followed by refreshments and the honoring of two Porter Spartans. Tyler McDaniel and Nathan Kissinger received recognition for their enlistments in the U.S. Army. Tyler enlisted to serve as a paralegal. Nathan has enlisted as infantry and plans to attend Airborne and Ranger schools. Congratulations to these two Spartans and thank you to Staff Sergeant Passman and the Humble Recruiting Center for the roll they play in our students’ lives.
