High School State Assessment and Testing Information

High school can be a confusing time for parents and students. There are a number of tests at the high school level that students are required to take and other tests that students will want to take to prepare for college or career after high school. Please see the useful links to answer questions you may have about the various testing programs.

Students that are finished with their high school credits but still need to complete their state assessment requirement to graduate should contact Ms. Kathleen Hart, Porter High School Testing Coordinator, at 281-577-5900 ext. 5678 or ahartabel@newcaneyisd.org to sign up for the next test administration.

• Class of 2024 - ASVAB
• Class of 2025 - PreACT
• Class of 2024 students who register and pay - PSAT

December 2022:

• Dec. 6 - English 1 EOC retest
• Dec. 7 - Alg 1 EOC retest
• Dec. 8 - Eng 2 EOC retest
• Dec. 9 - US History, Biology EOC retest (students take one or the other)
