My name is Mark Newton. This is my 16th year in Education and 6th year as a Porter Spartan. I graduated from Tarkington High School with the Class of 2002 and played 5 sports as a Longhorn. I attended East Texas Baptist University and played football for 4 years winning the ASC Conference in 2003. I earned a B.S in Education from ETBU. I spent 9 years as the Head Track Coach at Tarkington High and also as an assistant football Coach. I am looking forward to this new year at PHS and all the great things our athletes will accomplish! Outside of teaching and coaching, I enjoy spending time with my wife (Kaylee) and three kids (Jace, Addison and Alexander). Go Spartans!

Coach Hooper is entering her 13th year of teaching/coaching and 5th year at PHS.  She teaches Human Growth & Development and is an assistant for volleyball/track.
