Who is "Homeless"?

The term "homeless" is defined by the McKinney-Vento Act is an individual who lacks a fixed, regular, and adequate nighttime residence. This can include children and youths who are sharing the housing of others due to a loss of housing, economic hardship, or a similar reason. Children and Youths who have a primary nighttime residence that is public or not designed as a regular sleeping accommodation for people. Children and youths living in cars, parks, public spaces, abandoned buildings, substandard housing.
