    Parental Involvement Policy

    At Kings Manor Elementary, we know that an involved parent will produce a better student outcome.  We know that teacher-parent relationships are important for student success.  We know that parents need to feel welcomed and want to attend school functions for students to be well-rounded.

     At Kings Manor Elementary, we strive to create ways for all parents to be involved.

    Since Kings Manor Elementary is a Title 1 school, we are constantly looking for ways to involve our parents.  The following is a list of the parental opportunities at Kings Manor this year:

    • Title 1 Parent Night

    • Reading Family Night

    • Math Family Night

    • Dual Language Family Night

    • Grandparents Lunch

    • Open House

    • Meet the Teacher

    • Trail of Treats-literacy/math connection

    • Family Thanksgiving Luncheon and Veteran’s Day program

    • Cookies with Santa

    • Choir (4th and 5th)

    • PTA

    • Weekly folders sent home with pertinent information

    • Remind

    • Parenting Partners

    Kings Manor parents are invited to attend our annual Title 1 parent meeting.  During this meeting, we will discuss our Title 1 status, our accountability reports, our parental involvement policy, our parent-student-school compact and present our Campus Improvement Plan and introduce our Site Based committee members.
