Welcome to 6th grade!
I have been a part of New Caney ISD for 7 years in different roles. This will be my fourth year as a reading/ELA teacher. It is also an exciting year for me because I am making a transfer from elementary to middle school! Even though it is my first year at Woodridge Forest, my own children have attended Woodridge and I cannot say enough great things about it. Your student will thrive here at Woodridge Forest Middle School in their education and their personal and social growth. My time at NCISD started as a substitute teacher with the opportunity to work in many of our schools. Then I became a full-time intervention aide. I had the opportunity to be in a 5th grade classroom for a semester before completing my degree. I hold a teaching degree with a specialization in ESL (English as a second language), EC-6th grade from Texas Tech University College of Education, and a Texas teaching certificate for reading/ELA 7th-12th grade.
My husband and I have been married for 19 years this February and have 3 beautiful children who attend NCISD. We are active in our church family. I love to cook, bake, decorate, and of course, read in my spare time.
I am very excited to welcome your student to middle school and teach them the love of reading/English language arts this year. We are going to have an amazing year here at Woodridge Forest Middle School. I know you will see your child grow in their learning and their own personal talents. We look forward to watching our 6th graders build their future one step at a time!
A message to my students-
I am so excited about our year in 6th grade together! This is a new and exciting chapter for all of you and I am thrilled to share it with you. I cannot wait to watch you find your genius inside and help you grow in your learning and abilities to do amazing things. We are so glad you are at Woodridge Forest Middle School! Let's make this year AWESOME!
Love, Mrs. Robinson
