• The Systems Team is responsible for maintaining over 100 servers, both virtual and physical, along with the hardware related to them, in addition to managing the over 20,000 user accounts and groups that make up New Caney ISD.

    Our roles include managing the server environment for efficient usage, updates/upgrades, and monitoring; keeping daily backups of critical systems; maintaining up-to-date desktop images; deploying new and updated applications; maintaining and updating user and computer policies; We also manage the user accounts for staff and students in AD and Google, ensuring every user is in their proper groups and has access to various systems, such as email, Canvas, Skyward, etc. This also includes investigating issues with accounts if they arise; creating specialized email, security accounts, and groups for the district, and managing Gmail settings, quarantines, spam, and blocklists.

    We also work closely with the A/V, Security, 1-to-1, and Network division to ensure a quality IT infrastructure and environment for the district to provide the best possible learning experience for our students.
