Hi, my name is Danica Afutu and I am so excited to be the RTI Specialist this year! A little information about me: I graduated from Prairie View A&M University in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis in English Language Arts grades 4-8. I later received my certification in Generalist; grades K-4 and English/Language Arts; grades 4-8. In addition, I attained a master's degree in Education in 2019. I also hold an ESL certification as well as a GT certification. This is my 15th year of teaching. My parents inspired me to be an educator (Both my mother and father have been in the education field for over 25+ years). This is my first year as the VRE RTI Specialist and I am so excited about the upcoming year!
