Mr. Luis Amario

My name is Luis Amario. I am from Venezuela; I hold a bachelor's degree in Economics and an M.Ed. in Educational Administration from LAMAR University. Before coming to the United States, I worked in the marketing field in Venezuela for ten years in many different roles; however, teaching has been part of my life since I went to college and taught guitar to K-12 students as a parallel activity. I came to Texas in 2010, and I started my education career with the Alternative Teacher Certification at Lone Star College-Kingwood. Then, I became a bilingual teacher; I have taught multiple grades on the elementary level. I am an ambassador of the DL program on campus and at NCISD. I have experienced what it is meant to be a bilingual student, and I can explain all the fantastic benefits of bilingualism and biliteracy. As an EL Instructional Coach at VRE, my goal is to support every EL student to develop the four language domains to be successful academically. My philosophy is that I am a coach because I have a passion for my job. My ultimate goal is to provide the most effective and reliable strategies for teachers to impact students' academic performance positively.

My lovely wife and I have been married for 17 years, and we have three children. We have two girls, fourteen-year-old and seven months respectively, and our eight-year-old boy.

I like to play guitar and run every day; those are the activities that I enjoy doing in my free time.

I am proud and happy to be a "Wrangler," and we advocate to teach ALL students on a high level of learning on campus.
