Financial Aid Information

  • Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

    Texas Application for State Financial Aid (TAFSA)

    Types of Financial Aid Available:

    To qualify for any financial aid, you must fill out the FAFSA, which opens each year on October 1st.

    Grants – Money that is given based on financial need and does not need to be repaid. Apply for the FAFSA and grants will be offered by the schools you apply to.

    Work Study – Allows students to earn money to pay education expenses. Based on financial need and available to those schools participating in the Federal Work-Study Program. Check with the college’s financial aid office to see if they participate and then apply for the FAFSA.

    Student Loans – Money that must be repaid by student, once a student is no longer enrolled in school. Apply for the FAFSA and loans will be offered by the school you apply to.

    Parent Loans – Money that must be repaid by parent, once a student is no longer enrolled in school. Once your child has completed the FAFSA, apply for a Parent PLUS Loan.
