After beginning the school year with remote instruction for the first four weeks, New Caney ISD will offer an on-campus, in-person learning option for students beginning Tuesday, Sept. 8.
Please view the On-Campus Instruction Plan for general health and on-campus procedures and guidelines. While it is not possible to eliminate risk of furthering the spread of COVID-19, the district has developed a set of measures to reduce the risk to students, teachers, and staff in an on-campus instructional setting. The district has also developed a Standard Response Protocol as part of the On-Campus Instruction Plan to guide the district’s response in the event there is a case or cases of confirmed COVID-19 among students or staff.
New student registration for the 2020-2021 school year will be onsite at the NCISD Annex located at 22500 Eagle Dr, New Caney Texas, 77357.Please call 281-577-8615 to schedule an appointment. Registration will be held on July 27th – July 30th.
Monday, July 27th, and Tuesday, July 28th the hours will be 9:30 – 11:30 and 1:30 – 6:00.
Wednesday, July 29th, and Thursday, July 30th the hours will be 7:30 – 11:00 and 1:00 – 4:00.

If any student is still in need of a device for distance learning, parents should contact the NCISD remote support helpdesk to schedule a pick-up time to receive a device. You may contact the NCISD remote support helpdesk by email at TechSupport@newcaneyisd.org or by calling 281-577-2973 Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. You must have a pre-arranged pick up time in order to receive a device.
NCISD is also providing Wi-Fi Internet access for student Chromebooks at several school parking lots. Please remain in your cars to practice social distancing. New Caney ISD is providing internet connectivity at many campus parking lots across the district. These large hotspots are being made available for both students and staff who need internet service. Families and students will not have to stay in those parking lots with their children to complete all work. Work to be done can be downloaded and completed offline at home.
Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) is a one-time food benefit for families who lost access to free or reduced-price meals due to school closures. Eligible P-EBT families will receive application instructions from schools in late May. The P-EBT application will open the first week of June.
P-EBT food benefits are for children who received SNAP food benefits for March 2020 and children who are certified for free or reduced-price school meals during the 2019-20 Texas school year. For more information, visit: hhs.texas.gov/PEBT
Curbside Meal Service Information: The U.S. Department of Agriculture and the Texas Department of Agriculture announced that summer feeding programs for public schools will extend into the fall semester. New Caney ISD will provide regular updates regarding this program as the fall semester progresses.
Beginning Sept. 8, all children ages 0-18 are eligible to receive a free breakfast and lunch for each day of the week.
Curbside meal service will take place Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Tuesday service will include meals for Tuesday and Wednesday. Thursday service will include meals for Thursday, Friday, and Monday.
Students must be present, or a parent must provide a student school ID, birth certificate, or passport when picking up meals.

School counselors will be available to respond to emails and appointments can be made to connect with a parent or student via phone if needed. Responses and appointments will occur during normal operating hours while buildings remain closed. Prior to closing campuses, custodial services had increased the deep cleaning of campuses and buses. All facilities have been deep cleaned and sanitized again since schools closed and will be deep cleaned again prior to re-opening.
