  • What are the plans for the 2020-21 school year?

    Posted by:

New Caney ISD will begin instruction for the 2020-21 school year completely online to best protect the welfare of our students and staff. This decision was made in accordance with recommendations by Montgomery County health officials and guidance provided by the Texas Education Agency.

It is not known how long online-only instruction will continue. The district will re-evaluate circumstances related to the COVID-19 pandemic as the school year begins. Decisions about beginning on-campus, face-to-face instruction will be made with the welfare of students and staff in mind first. The district will continue to work within the guidance provided by TEA as well as local and state health officials.

The district is making plans to begin instruction August 10 based on the academic calendar that was approved by the Board of Trustees in December. No changes to the academic calendar have been made at this time.
