  • Get a new Smart Tag?

    Posted by:

When students enroll in the district, the home campus will receive the ID within 1-2 days to give to the student. Students will not be re-issued Smart Tag ID's every school year. Please hang on to your child's current Smart Tag over the summer. Smart Tag ID's may be purchased at any campus during the 2018-19 school year. Transportation Services will no longer sell Smart Tag ID's.

Through the Smart Tag Parent Portal, parents/Guardians can access up-to-date boarding activity, and sign up for SMART Alerts to receive a text message when their child is approximately 10-15 minutes from their drop off stop. Parents of Special Needs students can sign up to receive a text message in the morning to know when the bus is 10-15 minutes from picking up their child.

  • Make changes to my child's transportation?

    Posted by:

To make changes to your address or phone number, notify the school registrar as soon as possible. The registrar will put the information into the system allowing visibility to the Transportation Department. Transportation Staff cannot change your address information. Once your address has been changed, you can contact Transportation at (281) 577-8680 to find out your child's new bus information.

If your child will be a car rider, visit Car Rider Procedures. If you do not have a Car Rider Pass, you will be required to park your car and go into the front office with your ID.

Your child's campus must be notified of transportation changes.

  • Volunteer to chaperone a field trip?

    Posted by:

It is recommended that all volunteers including parents, grandparents or guardians who wish to participate in field trips, field day, carnivals, etc., become a NCISD designated volunteer. Parents can show up and accompany their child’s class on most school-sponsored field trips without needing to be a volunteer (exceptions would be tours with limited seating). Becoming a volunteer ahead of time will allow you to better assist teachers by being able to chaperone small groups of students and possibly ride the school bus.

For more information, visit the Volunteer Program.
