Eric Holton

Hello, my name is Eric Holton, and I am humbled to serve our community as the principal of New Caney High School! I am originally from Beaumont, TX, where I attended high school at West Brook HS and received my undergraduate degree from Lamar University. After teaching and coaching for several years, I earned my master's degree from Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches, TX. I am now entering my thirteenth year in education and my ninth year as an administrator in public education.
My family and I have called New Caney home for several years now and we are excited to be a part of the amazing growth in our community. I am blessed to have been married for over eighteen years to my wife, Doree, who also works in NCISD as a special education teacher. Together, we have three incredible children, Carter, Colt, and Claire who all attend NCISD schools!
For the last several years I was the principal of New Caney Middle School, and I could not think of a more wonderful place to work, raise a family, and educate my children than right here in New Caney ISD. Serving the students and staff of our community is something that I truly enjoy and have a passion for. I count myself very fortunate to now be a part of the storied tradition of New Caney High School and I look forward to continuing the work that has been laid before me by past NCHS administrators!

Dr. Amy Wallace

After twenty-two years in education, I am so excited to be home.  As a New Caney High School graduate, it is such a blessing to be able to work and serve the community where I grew up.  I attended Lamar University earning my Bachelor’s degree in Education. I then started my teaching career in a second-grade classroom and eventually moved on to teach high school math and coach for several years. I went on to earn a Master’s degree in Counseling from Sam Houston State University and a Master’s and Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Lamar University. I have worked as a school counselor, professional counselor, and assistant principal over the last sixteen years.
My family and I attend church in New Caney and still remain active in the community with family and friends.  I have been married for twenty-two years to my husband Bobby, who is also an Eagle. We have two amazing daughters, Kyndal-19 and Mckynzie-14.
I truly believe that every child deserves the opportunity to succeed.  I look forward to helping students find their own success and assisting teachers in continuing to expect excellence from themselves and from students.
