  • Porter FFA Success at Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo

    Rikki Ashy and Courtney Lewis won 1st place in the Dining Duets Floral Competition, beating out teams from all over the state of Texas! They each received a $1000 check and HLSR Belt Buckle. Porter FFA was well represented by 6 teams in the competition. Click for more!

  • Porter High School Student Advances to National FBLA Competition

    Seniors Brandon DeAlmeida and Dontrae Sims along with CTE teacher Tom Davidson attended the Texas FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) State Leadership Conference in Dallas on March 8-10.   • PHS All Girl Cyber Security Teams Compete in National Challenge

    On February 20, 2018 six PHS young ladies embarked on an intense cyber security 5-day challenge competition targeted specifically to girls. The sponsor, CyberStart, is a program designed to supply specialist cyber security education to young people across the US.     Graydon Harrison, a member of the Porter High School Band, will perform with the Texas All-State 5A Symphonic Band in San Antonio, Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center as part of the 2018 Texas Music Educators Association Clinic/Convention.

  • Cadet 2d Lt Kaitlinn Brandon Earns Top Award

    Cadet 2d Lt Kaitlinn Brandon was one of 120 cadets out of 120,000 nationwide that was selected for a very prestigious program called Chief of Staff Flight Academy Private Pilot Scholarship Program (FA/PPSP). Through this program she will attend a University this summer taking College Courses in Aerospace Engineering and have the opportunity to earn her private pilot license and a possible AFROTC College Scholarship. She will be at the University for the entire summer. This makes Cadet Brandon in the top 1% of AFJROTC Cadets Worldwide. Click the title to read more!
