2009-10 Academic Calendar
The New Caney ISD Board of Trustees approved the district
calendar for the 2009-2010
school year. This is a 180 day instructional calendar that will
allow us to offer a flex
weeks for the last two weeks of the school year.
Currently we are offering flex week schedules for students in
grades K-12 which allows
students who are demonstrating academic success in the classroom
and on
state standardize tests to be exempt from attendance during the
last two weeks of school.
For more information about flex weeks for the 2009-2010 school
year, please contact your
child’s principal. The calendar for 2009-2010 includes 7 days for
teacher prep/staff
development. Weather days have been moved to the end of the school
year. State testing
days have included but are subject to changes by the Texas
Education Agency.
