New Caney High School Academic Decathlon Team Competes at State This Weekend

For the 16th straight year, the New Caney High School Academic Decathlon team is competing in the state competition. In winning the Region VI competition, the team gained an automatic spot in this weekend's Large School Competition and has the tenth highest score out of the forty teams competing. The state competition is in Houston with the speech, interview, and testing being held at San Jacinto College North Campus. The Super Quiz Relay takes place at North Shore Senior High School Gym on Saturday starting at 3:30 p.m. The Super Quiz Relay is open to the public and is an excellent opportunity to come out and support the team! The awards ceremony will be Sunday at 9 a.m. at the J W Marriott Galleria.
