Teachers Receive Robotics Grants
Valley Ranch Elementary teacher Mary Beth Marceaux and Bens Branch Elementary teacher Jennifer Reyes were rewarded for their efforts! They applied for grants and received two new Lego Mindstorms Education NXT robotics kits. Doug Kleiner, President and CEO of the Education Foundation of Harris County, presented them with their kits. Both teachers will be utilizing this equipment with their students and entering the Ecobot Robotics Challenge at Reliant Stadium on April 17. Student teams must integrate math, physics and computer skills from the classroom to design and build robots that perform real-world environmental tasks.
