Bens Branch Students Create Snow
After frolicking in the snow December 4, Bens Branch Elementary science lab instructor Holly Ward had her students create stories based upon their experience with snow that Friday. Ms. Ward then created a lab that simulated snow! She discussed how the snow they created was a polymer, and when added to water, creates the magical white stuff. The students discussed how ski resorts and movie sets use this simulated snow because it looks so real. They also compared and contrasted the simulated snow to the real snow that appeared earlier this month!
