Community Members, Students Turn Out for Veterans Day Ceremony
The New Caney High School Soaring Eagle Battalion honored the
nation's heroes during its second annual Veterans Day parade and
ceremony November 11. The day began with a parade at 6:45 a.m.
Several speakers, including Principal David Loyacano made remarks
during the ceremony. Cadets participated in a mock 21-gun salute
and a wreath-laying procession. Band members played “Taps.” The
event was organized by retired Master Sgt. Joseph Lang.
