NCHS Band to Compete This Weekend at SHSU
The New Caney Spirit Band from Eagleland is prepared to impress judges and spectators this weekend at Sam Houston State University's Marching Band Festival in Huntsville! The band performs at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 24. Bands that advance to the finals will begin performing at 7:30 p.m. Click here for directions and ticket information.
The band received an "Excellent" rating at the Region 19 UIL Marching Contest Saturday, October 17 at Galena Park Athletic Stadium. The band performed the music from Chuck Mangione and included the songs "Feels So Good," "Children of Sanchez," "Land of Make Believe," "El Gato Triste and Echano," featuring trumpet soloist William Palmer, senior, and saxophone soloist Andrew Cantu, junior.
