2008-2009 General Fund Budget Update
The 2008-2009 budget year has been a positive one for New Caney ISD. Many factors have contributed to decreasing the original adopted budget deficit of $6,233,282. The district’s state revenue increased due to the average daily attendance increasing 429 students over the 2007-2008 school year. Due to the hard work of district staff being conscientious about purchases, extra duty and overtime, as well as, the decrease in fuel which affected many other areas such as electricity and supply cost, New Caney ISD will be adding approximately $200,000 to the district’s fund balance.
