Board Approves New Compensation Plan

Despite an ever tightening budget, New Caney ISD Board of Trustees is pleased to announce the approval on a new compensation plan for the 2009-2010 school year. Superintendent Kenn Franklin and the Board of Trustees wanted a compensation plan that made employee salaries competitive with comparable districts. After looking at data from other districts and cost impact to the district, the decision was made to approve the new plan. “I believe our employees are our number one asset as a District. I am very pleased that our Board of Trustees recognized the value of our employees and supported our recommendation for a pay increase.” A first year teacher with a Bachelor’s degree will have a starting salary of $42,100. This salary includes the pay increase mandated by the state legislature. Also included in the compensation plan was an increase of 3% for administrators, instructional support, administrative support and manual trades.
