Keefer Crossing Middle School Student Earns State Recognition
The Duke University Talent Identification Program, also known as Duke TIP is nearing 30 years of dedicated service to the cultivation and education of talented youth. The 7th Grade Talent Search identifies academically gifted 7th graders, based on their outstanding performance on standardized tests. These candidates are invited to complete either the SAT or the ACT, providing them an opportunity to take an advanced level test and learn more about their academic strengths. Duke TIP then provides the participants with comparative information concerning their academic abilities and resources for unique educational opportunities. The goal is to assist young people with excellent mathematical or verbal aptitude. All students who participated in the Duke TIP 7th Grade Talent Search should be proud of their academic achievements!
Clay McClesky, a 7th grade student at Keefer Crossing Middle School, participated in the 7th grade Duke Talent Search. His SAT scores earned him state recognition. Students who qualify for Duke TIP’s State Recognition scored at or above the national average on at least one part of the SAT or ACT. At Duke TIP’s State Recognition Ceremony at Texas A&M, Clay will receive a medallion and be recognized for his outstanding academic achievement. CONGRATULATIONS!
